A woman who swallowed a packet of heroin after being arrested for soliciting was sentenced to three months jail yesterday

A woman who swallowed a packet of heroin after being arrested for soliciting was sentenced to three months jail yesterday. Bernadette Wilson (29), of Rathdrum Road, Crumlin, pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court to soliciting at Fitzwilliam Square on November 20th and obstructing a drug search at Harcourt Street Garda Station.

She also admitted soliciting at Cumberland Road on March 30th and stealing food worth £8 from Crazy Prices, Crumlin, on November 14th. Judge Thomas Fitzpatrick imposed concurrent sentences for the larceny and obstruction charges and also fined her £125 for soliciting.
