Fifteen people are due in court this morning in connection with yesterday’s police action against the heroin trade in Northern Ireland.
Two men and two women are due at Belfast Magistrates Court, four men are to appear at Ballymena Special Court, and six men and a woman are due before Larne Magistrate’s Court.
The police operation, codenamed "Galiot", was the result of months of surveillance and investigation.
In total, 200 police raided 16 homes and made 12 arrests in Ballymena. Eleven houses in Belfast were targeted and six people taken into custody.
