A man who began abusing cannabis when he was eight years old has been remanded for sentence for drug dealing on November 11th by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. Stephen Reddy (21), of Ventry Park, Cabra, pleaded guilty to having about £2,000 worth of cannabis resin for sale or supply on December 3rd, 1997.
"That is now the youngest starting age for drug abuse we have had in this court. What chance has anyone who begins abusing drugs at eight years of age?" Judge Kelly said.
