London - The driver of a Land Rover involved in the Selby rail disaster was yesterday charged with causing the death of 10 people by dangerous driving, police said.

Mr Gary Hart (36), from Strubby, Lincolnshire, was released on police bail to appear before Selby magistrates on May 17th.

Ten people were killed when a GNER passenger train ploughed into a LandRover on the railway line at Great Heck, near Selby, on February 28th this year.
