The Bogside Residents Group and the Royal Black Preceptory last night reached an unprecedented agreement over the loyal order's parade planned for the centre of Derry at the end of August.

Following a meeting between the two groups, chaired by Derry's City Centre Initiative, the residents group announced it would not be lodging any protest nor providing any opposition to the August parade, which is expected to attract about 400 members of the Royal Black Preceptory to Derry.
