HUNDREDS OF onlookers turned out and traffic came to a standstill in Dingle, Co Kerry, yesterday for the wedding of TV presenter Dáithí Ó Sé and former Rose of Tralee contestant Rita Talty, from New Jersey in the US.

An excited crowd, composed mainly of women and children, waited outside St Mary’s Church for the bride and groom to arrive. A smiling Ó Sé (36) was mobbed and embraced by several women.

“There’s no pulling out now, I suppose,” he joked as he walked up the church steps.

Ms Talty (29) arrived a minute before the appointed time, 2pm, for the nuptials and she received a cheer. She smiled and waved at the crowd and thanked everyone for coming.

About 150 guests attended the wedding reception in the Carlton Hotel, Tralee, where the couple first met.
