Washington - A Cuban diplomat accused of spying has been declared persona non grata by the US and ordered to leave the country within the week, officials announced.
The State Department said it was taking this unusual step after Cuban officials insisted that the official, reportedly an intelligence officer at the Cuban Interests Section in Washington, would not be recalled.
