Teenager critically hurt after falling through roof in Dublin

Firemen find man with serious head injuries in vacant warehouse at Basin Lane, Dublin 8

A man (19) is in serious condition after falling approximately 12 metres (40ft) through a roof of a building in Dublin city.

Dublin Fire Brigade responded to an emergency call at Basin Lane, near Basin Street, Dublin 8 at 4.30pm on Monday.

A fire brigade spokesman said when they arrived at the scene, understood to be a vacant warehouse, they found a man with serious head injuries who had apparently fallen.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to St James’ Hospital where he is in a critical condition.
