Man shot in leg in suspected drug-related attack in Dublin

A man is recovering in hospital after an apparent punishment-style shooting in the Inchicore area of Dublin last night.

The victim, in his thirties and known to gardaí, was shot in the leg at Turvey Avenue in Inchicore at about at about 10.15pm.

Gardaí believe the shooting may be drug-related as the area has experienced ongoing problems with criminal activity.

He was brought to St James’s Hospital where his injuries are described as not life threatening.

Gradai are appealing for witnesses.
