Man held in cattle theft investigation

Gardaí have arrested a man as part of a multi-agency operation investigating the theft of cattle in the Border counties.

The man in his 30s was arrested in the Castleblayney area and is being held at Monaghan Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The investigation into livestock theft is being led by gardaí and the Department of Agriculture.
