Donegal man pleads guilty to stealing empty beer kegs

Dean Ferry (29) charged with taking dozens of containers from two Letterkenny pubs

A Donegal man has pleaded guilty to stealing dozens of empty beer kegs from two different pubs.

Dean Ferry (29) appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court charged with three different counts of theft.

Mr Ferry, of Lisnennan Court, pleaded guilty all three charges of stealing the empty beer kegs.

He was charged with stealing a total of 26 kegs from two different pubs, Sister Saras and the Cornerhouse Bar, both in Letterkenny, on July 4th, 2012.

The kegs had a total value of €2,600, the court was told.

Judge John O’Hagan ordered a probation and welfare report on the accused and adjourned the case until the next sitting of the circuit court in April.
