Armed raiders stole cash from three shops in east Cork on Tuesday morning.

The three raiders, in their early 30s, were armed with knives and drove a black Ford Kuga, with the registration number 161-C-15621.

They held up a Topaz filling station in Fermoy at about 7am, a Centra shop in Watergrasshill at 9.30am and a Glanworth Stores outlet west of Fermoy at about 10am.

They made off with cash in all three cases. There were no injuries.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses or anybody with information to come forward. Detectives in Anglesea Street and Fermoy are investigating.
