The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission has been awarded “A” status accreditation by the United Nations for a second time.

The commission first secured its “A” status accreditation in 2006.

This means it can participate fully in the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, and can make both written and oral interventions.

The Irish Human Rights Commission also enjoys “A” status.
