A judge has said the media has no right to cover criminal juvenile courts except with special permission. Judge Clare Leonard ordered gardai to remove a journalist covering Court 55 in Smithfield, saying only those directly involved in the case could attend court. She said reporters had to be "accredited" and also had to seek permission from the judge to report juvenile cases.
