The promoters of last August's two-day rock festival at Fairyhouse racecourse have taken a High Court challenge to An Bord Pleanala's ruling that planning permission was required for such an event.

The planning decision was given in November, but another festival is planned at Fairyhouse later this summer. Proceedings by way of judicial review have been taken by Fairyhouse Club Ltd, Wonderland Promotors Ltd and MCD Management Services Ltd against An Bord Pleanala and Meath County Council. The hearing, before Mr Justice Finnegan, continues today.
