Costa nomination: 'Skippy Dies'

DUBLIN-BORN writer Paul Murray (35) has been shortlisted for the 2010 Costa Novel award for his second novel, Skippy Dies.

DUBLIN-BORN writer Paul Murray (35) has been shortlisted for the 2010 Costa Novel award for his second novel, Skippy Dies.

Murray is the only Irish writer nominated in any of the categories, which also include first novel, biography, poetry and children’s book awards. The overall winner of the Costa Book of the Year is selected from the five category winners. The winners will be announced in London on January 5th.

Earlier this year, Skippy Dieswas longlisted for the Man Booker Prize.
