A man (55) has died in a house fire in Cork city early this morning.
Gardaí said firefighters put out the fire at Roches Buildings, Watercross Road, Blackpool at 4.40am.
The man's body was found in an upstairs bedroom after the fire was put out. His body was taken to Cork University Hospital for a postmortem.
"There is nothing to indicate the fire was suspicious", a Garda spokesman added.
