Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Nicky Colgan's future at Hibernian is looking increasingly tenuous after the Edinburgh side signed Danish custodian Morten Hyldgaard.

Hibs have taken over Hyldgaard's Coventry contract, and manager Bobby Williamson is also confident Northern Ireland international defender Colin Murdock, a free agent, will soon join him at Easter Road.

Hibernian's debts have forced Williamson to shed players and a number of first-teamers have been told they can find new clubs.

One is Colgan but despite Hyldgaard's arrival Williamson admitted he had been given no indication that he might be moving on.

The same applied to former skipper John O'Neil, who is on trial at Rotherham.

Williamson said: "I have spoken to the players concerned and it is up to them to see how it develops. You can't push players out of the door".
