Racing/Curragh round-up:Cockney Rebel followed up his Newmarket Guineas win with another Classic success in the Boylesports Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh.

Settled much nearer the pace than three weeks ago by French pilot Olivier Peslier, Geoff Huffer's colt held off Jim Bolger's Creachadoir (7-1) in determined fashion to reward favourite-backers at 6-4.

Aidan O'Brien's Duke Of Marmalade, a recent gamble of the race, held every chance but was beaten in a photo for third by He's A Decoy (40-1).

Frances Crowley's Cheyenne Star (7-1) ran out a game winner of the Group Three Ridgewood Pearl Stakes, beating Sir Michael Stoute's Heaven Sent in the process.

Tracey Collins' Acclamation colt romped home at odds of 12-1 in the five-furlong dash, for which Aidan O'Brien's Achilles Of Troy was sent off the hot 2-5 favourite.

The latter bounced out of the stalls following his Newmarket success and was still in command over a furlong out but weakened rapidly soon after and dropped away to finish a well-beaten fourth.

Collins' charge meanwhile surged up the centre of the course to collect by a tidy length and three-quarters from the eyecatching You'resothrilling and maintain his unbeaten record.

"He did it well in the end, although I was a bit apprehensive dropping him back from six to five furlongs.

"He is in the Railway Stakes and will go there now as he deserves to step up."
