Cocaine seized at Dublin airport

A man is in custody today following the seizure of cocaine valued at €220,000 at Dublin airport.

A man is in custody today following the seizure of cocaine valued at €220,000 at Dublin airport.

Customs officers stopped the 48-year-old man at the airport last night and found 3.16kg of cocaine hidden in a false-bottomed suitcase.

The man, a Guyanese national who had arrived on a flight from Sao Paulo in Brazil, is being held at Ballymun Garda station.
