Navan's chase course has been deemed unraceable following an early morning inspection.

This means the three scheduled chases have been abandoned although the meeting will go ahead with the five remaining races the first of which will be run at 3.30 p.m. today.

Elsewhere, today's meeting at Ayr will go ahead following an early morning inspection at the Scottish course.

A course spokesman said: "We had a dry night and we've passed our inspection and are racing."
