Danish brewer Carlsberg said today it had entered an agreement to acquire 34.5 per cent of Wusu Brewery for an undisclosed price.

The brewery will be operated as a joint venture between Carlsberg and Blue Sword Group, a local company in the region.

Wusu Brewery has a capacity of about 2.5 million hectolitres and a 60 per cent market share in the region, the company said.
