Shares in C&C Group rose the most in two months in Dublin trading after a report said sales of its Magners cider in Britain increased 48 per cent by volume in the four weeks to April 18th.

C&C climbed as much as 15 percent in early trade before slipping back to €1.91 at 2.30pm, a gain of almost 9 per cent.

The stock has advanced 38 percent this year, giving the company a market value of €630.9 million. The sales data was published today by Merrion Stockbrokers in Dublin, citing AC Nielsen.
