Thirty people were killed and 19 injured when a bus left a road and tumbled down a 30-metre cliff into a river in China's northwestern province of Shaanxi.
"We have pulled all the bodies out but it is too steep to pull out the bus," said an official of Fengxian County, where the accident occurred. He said the cause of the accident was still under investigation.
At least two of the injured are in critical condition with little hope of survival.
China has a dismal road-safety record. Traffic accidents killed some 94,000 people last year despite a relatively low number of cars on the roads compared with the country's huge population.
