A car passenger injured in a collision more than two years ago ended up suing his brother.

Mr Arthur Lynch, (42) of Griffith Close, Finglas, hurt his back when his brother Martin's car was involved in a crash with another at Clontarf, Dublin.

Mr Arthur Lynch sued the other driver, Ms Angela Boran, of Belgrave Road, Clontarf.

Yesterday his counsel, Ms Patricia Ryan, told the Circuit Civil Court the defendant's insurance company had joined Mr Martin Lynch as a co defendant. Circuit Court President, Mr Justice Frank Spain, held both Ms Boran and Mr Martin Lynch equally to blame for the accident and ordered they share a payout of £7,500 damages to the plaintiff.
