Coach Matt Williams has recalled Trevor Brennan to the Leinster side ahead of Saturday’s Heineken Cup clash with Newcastle at Kingston Park.

Brennan replaces Eric Miller who sits out a suspension for being shown a red card against Munster in the Celtic League final at Lansdowne Road last month.

Brennan is the only change to the team that beat Munster.

Munster host Harlequins at Thomad Park on Saturday and will name their team after training this evening.

Keith Wood, a former Munster star who now plays his club rugby with the visiting London club, is ruled out of the game through injury.

Wood faces a further four weeks on the treatment table with a torn calf muscle and could miss Ireland’s opening Six Nations match in February.
