A book of evidence was served yesterday on a man charged with 21 counts of possession of a blood-filled syringe, robbery and false imprisonment.

Mr Trevor Cooke (22), Clondalkin, Dublin, is accused of committing the offences at a number of petrol stations in Clondalkin, Tallaght and Rathfarnham between February and March last. At Dublin District Court, Judge Thomas Fitzpatrick remanded him in continuing custody for two weeks.
