Britpop band Blur played a fundraising concert at the London Astoria last night for the family of Irish rock journalist, Mr Leo Finlay (32), who died of a heart attack just before Christmas. Mr Finlay, who was based in London, wrote for the British music paper Music Week.

"Leo was the first person to write about us and I think his was the only wedding we ever played," the band's bass player, Alex James, said yesterday.
