The British Prime Minister Mr Tony Blair has today appointed two new Ministers of State to work under the Northern Secretary Dr John Reid.
Liverpool MP Ms Jane Kennedy has been given responsibility for Security, Policing and Prisons in the North.
While Scottish MP for Kilmarnock, Mr Des Browne replaces Mr George Howarth to take over Criminal Justice, Victim Issues, Human Rights and Election Policy.
