VANCOUVER - A Catholic bishop was sentenced yesterday to 2 1/2 years in prison for rape and indecent assault on two teenaged women more than 30 years ago. Justice Wally Opal called the crimes committed by Bishop Hubert O'Connor (68) "highly offensive". O'Connor was principal of a native residential school when he committed the offences in 1965.
