SOUTHAMPTON - A retired archaeologist beat Britain's drink driving laws by riding from bar to bar on horseback to celebrate his 50th birthday in style.
"It is pretty rare to be prosecuted for being drunk in charge of a horse and we won't be taking any further action," a police spokesman said.
