A Dungannon baker has been in court charged with dangerous driving causing the death of a pedestrian. Mr Michael Alexander McFarland (19), of Woodlawn Park, was remanded on bail when he appeared at Cookstown Magistrates Court yesterday.

The charge arises out of an accident on the main Coalisland-Dungannon road in May last in which a building contractor, Mr Owen Nugent, of Coalisland, was killed.
