A 48-year-old Co Tipperary man was further remanded on bail on 50 charges of sexual assault.
Judge Michael Reilly at Nenagh District Court yesterday further remanded him until October 1st to extend time for service of the book of evidence. The alleged offences took place on dates unknown between September 2nd 1996 and June 25th 1997.
The accused man was charged with sexually assaulting young girls contrary to Section 2 of the Civil Law Rape and Amendment Act 1990. At an earlier hearing a judge ordered that the accused would not be identified or the injured parties or any other matter of identification published.
