Legal practices in many parts of Australia do not have enough lawyers to serve their client base, a seminar on career opportunities in Australia was told last night.

It was organised by the Law Society in its education centre last night. It follows a trip to Australia by Law Society director general Ken Murphy, where he discussed ways in which unemployed young Irish solicitors could make contact with firms in Australia seeking lawyers. A joint project has been set up to help them make the move.
