Police in the North are investigating an attempted arson attack on an Orange hall in Co Tyrone.

Police in the North are investigating an attempted arson attack on an Orange hall in Co Tyrone.

The hall in the village of Pomeroy suffered minor damage in the attempted attack, a police spokeswoman said.

She said some time between Tuesday and Friday this week a window was broken and curtains set alight. The fire, however, managed to burn itself out.

The scorch damage was discovered when the hall was opened at 6.45 p.m. yesterday.
