£15.9 million the previous year. Operating profit before depreciation and player trading was £51.2 million, against £13.7 million the year before.

Sales grew by £46 per cent to 200.8 million, from £137.2 million previously.

The club said match day revenues more than doubled to £90.6 million, compared with the £44.1 million achieved in the club's last season at Highbury, representing an average of over £3 million for each game played at the Emirates.

Match day revenues have now replaced broadcasting as the club's main source of income.

The club has also more than doubled its cash reserves to £73.9 million, from £38.3 million the previous year.
