Gardaí issued a warning to the public today after a bank robbery in Co Cavan late this afternoon.
Two men, one armed with a shotgun, robbed the Bank of Ireland in Baillieborough Co Cavan at around 4 pm.
The robbers, who wore mortorcycle helmets and leathers, threatened staff before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash . There were customers in the bank at the time.
The robbers made their getaway on a motorcycle in the direction of the Cavan road..
Gardai in Baileboro appealed for witnesses but warned members of the public not to approach anyone who fits the robbers discription.
