An armed robber who locked travel agents into an office and took nearly £5,000 from the till has had his sentence adjourned at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Stuart Preston (24), from Millbrook Road, Dublin, pleaded guilty to 13 counts of robbery and assault between January and August 2000.

Det Garda Paul Donoghue, of Howth Garda station, said that Preston and an accomplice entered the Abbey Travel agents at Sutton Cross, Dublin, on August 8th, last year. He pushed two women into an office and then took £4,850.
