The Royal Air Force has saved the life of a man who was bitten by a poisonous pet rattlesnake on Christmas Eve

The Royal Air Force has saved the life of a man who was bitten by a poisonous pet rattlesnake on Christmas Eve. The man, from Co Tyrone, was bitten on the arm by a Western Diamond rattler and needed an antidote.

Doctors at Tyrone County Hospital in Omagh contacted the British armed services for help. The antidote, made from snake's venom, was flown by RAF helicopter from Liverpool after the man went to the hospital on Christmas morning.
