A temporary injunction has been grated to fifteen Aer Lingus employees by the High Court restraining the airline from making them redundant.

The fifteen, who formerly worked with TEAM Aer Lingus, had sought a declaration that the company is in contempt of court by reason of "threats" of redundancy contained in letters to the plaintiffs on December 20th last and on February 3rd and 6th last.

They claim these the threats of redundancy are being made while an action by them against the company has been part-heard by the court. It is submitted that judgments on parts of the action were issued last year and that the issue of damages has yet to be decided.

A number of ex-TEAM Aer Lingus employees have been in dispute with Aer Lingus over the terms of their employment following their return to the airline.
