Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said today he hoped a unity government with the ruling Hamas movement that could lead to an easing of Western sanctions could be formed within days.
"We are working very hard in order to form this government. I hope that we will reach a conclusion maybe within days, maybe in less than that," Mr Abbas told reporters in Gaza
