More than 30 minutes will be added to car journeys through Donnybrook in Dublin because of a new quality bus corridor from Stillorgan to Leeson Street, the AA has claimed. Dublin Corporation is planning to open the route in mid-July and the AA has called on the Government to intervene.

The AA said all traffic, except buses, would be forced into a single lane through Donnybrook, which would prove catastrophic. It said that because the plan did not include a park-and-ride facility, it was not a corridor but a "bus lane".
