DUBAI - Five people, including two children, were killed and 44 were injured when worshippers stampeded at the entrance to a mosque in western Iran, the Iranian news agency IRNA said yesterday.

Crowds were gathering at the mosque in Kermanshah on Saturday night when the stampede took place, said the agency, monitored by the BBC.
