Spanish police have arrested a man suspected of collaborating with members of the armed Basque separatist group ETA who were seized earlier this week, the government said.
Police arrested three men on Wednesday suspected of preparing an ETA bomb attack in 1999, which failed to reach its target when an explosive device detonated while being transported.
Before dawn today police seized a 32-year-old in the northern Spanish region of Navarre on suspicion of helping one of the three escape when he was hurt in the premature explosion, the government's regional office said in a statement.
The arrests are part of a crackdown on ETA which has led to hundreds of suspects being detained in Spain and France over the past two years.
