Four Welsh men have gone on trial at Swansea Crown Court accused of racially assaulting an Irishman

Four Welsh men have gone on trial at Swansea Crown Court accused of racially assaulting an Irishman. The men attacked Mr Damien Kelleher on a ferry to Fishguard, it was alleged.

Mr Kelleher, from Mac room, Co Cork, was called an Irish pig, a Paddy and a leprechaun and was followed by Mr Jason Addison who punched him on the nose, it was alleged. Shortly afterwards, Mr Kelleher was attacked by all four.

Mr Addison (25) of Tumble, west Wales, denies the charges, as do Mr Richard Watts (18), of Drefach, Mr David Barnett (33), of Tumble, and Mr Gareth Nettlefield (18). The case continues.
