Algiers - Islamic extremists killed 19 people, including 11 members of the same family, overnight in Algeria, security services said yesterday, in one of the worst massacres since an amnesty law took effect.
The slaughter brings to more than 500 the number of people killed by armed groups since the July 13th law, under which Muslim fundamentalists who surrender may be granted partial or full amnesty.
