Table talk

Kinsale-based Irish furniture designer Joseph Walsh is in New York today, discussing Nordic influences at the Collective2 Design Fair, where three items from his Enignum series (the title a combination of the Latin enigma meaning mystery and lignum meaning wood ) will be exhibited.

The Enignum canopy bed, of which five have been made (including one for the Duke of Devonshire) and the table photographed here in a Connemara marble mine (a South American commission) are each unique. Deirdre McQuillan
