Routes to avoid this week

A sporting weekend is likely to impact on all traffic movements. The start of the World Cup on Friday (with Ireland's first match on Saturday morning) will undoubtedly clear the roads of traffic during the morning hours, but once the matches end it will be business as usual this bank holiday weekend. The capital will also be given over to the fairer sex as bank holiday Monday sees 40,000 women converge for the Women's Mini Marathon. This coincides with the Women's World Show which runs throughout the bank holiday weekend at the RDS.

DUBLIN: The Woman's World Show takes place at the RDS over from Friday to Sunday. Expect extra traffic and delays on approach roads across the evenings.

The Tesco Evening Herald Womens Mini Marathon on Monday starts at 3 p.m. at Fitzwilliam Square and travels to Northumberland Road, Merrion Road, Nutley Lane, Belfield Flyover, Stillorgan Road, Donnybrook, Morehampton Road, Leeson Street and finishes at St Stephens Green outside University Church.
