The 4-door coupé is unlikely to see the light of day as a production car unless there is stong public support for it. It was designed by Martin Smith, Ford Europe’s executive design director who arrived from General Motors last year.

The next models to come from Ford are less sporty and more family focused. First will be a new version of the Galaxy 7-seater people carrier, due for launch next Spring. << />

Just to confuse matters, Ford will launch the new 7-seater version of its Focus C-Max, the SAV, at the same time. Perhaps the first car that could feature the new look more completely is the new Mondeo, due for launch near the end of next year and arriving in Ireland in 2007.
