West Cork 0.33-acre site makes €500,000

Sales Results: Nine bidders fought it out yesterday for a one-third acre site overlooking Inchydoney Beach in Co Cork that finally sold for €500,000.

The site, which has planning permission for a two-bedroom house, was guided at €250,000 prior to auction by Clonakilty agents, Sherry FitzGerald O'Neill. Bidding opened at €300,000 and over 50 bids were taken before it was sold to a solicitor acting in trust. The narrow site, which has a ringside view of the ocean, is within a short stroll of Inchydoney Lodge & Spa.
